I have had one of these on my Tremolino 23 Trimaran for about 15 years. Broke the universal a while back and replaced just the universal. It was hard sailing the second race that day with a rope (you can't push a rope). This universal is getting old so I bought a new extension and a replacement universal. The old extension still works OK but it is not quite as straight at a new one, so it gets a little stuck in some positions. Not a big deal. I can't blame the stick for the abuse I have given it. So obviously I would buy it again as this is what this purchase is. I'll keep the old one as a fully functional spare.
