Vela Sailing Supply will ship within the US continental, Alaska and Hawaii using either UPS or FedEx. For all military address, such as APO's and FPO's we will use the United States Postal Service. For Puerto Rico and US overseas territories we will also use the USPS Priority Mail service.
Please add 3 business days to the standard shipping time for all destinations needing USPS deliveries (*).
UPS and FedEx ground services will usually take between 2 to 5 business days if the parts ordered are in stock. We also offer UPS 3 Day Select, 2nd Day Air and Overnight shipping options. You will have these available when checking out.
Note: UPS and FedEx only deliver on Saturday when shipping overnight on Friday and may be subject to an additional charge.
Note 2: Once the order is delivered by any of the freight carriers Vela Sailing Supply will not take responsibility on any lost, theft or damage due mishandling.
Note 3: Shipping expedited will must be placed before 11:30 am. CT. Otherwise the order will be processed the next business day.
Note 4: Free shipping. Orders that apply for free shipping will be delivered between 8 and 10 business days
Note 5: International orders. International customers will be responsible for any applicable import duties, fees, or taxes.
For all the oversize items, such as whisker poles, spinnaker poles and tracks longer than 7ft. we must use a freight company. The estimated shipping rate for these types of items is $300 depending on destination. All orders for oversized items must be delivered to a commercial address; these can be the marina, yacht club or boat yard where your sailboat is located. Someone must receive and sign for the package at the moment of delivery.

All times are estimated and refer to business days. UPS will not deliver during official holidays.
Most of our shipments come out from Texas. In the event of a product is not available, it might be shipped directly from warehouses in Florida or Rhode Island.
