Allen Brothers 30mm Dynamic Flip Flop Block with A.677 Cleat
30mm Dynamic Flip Flop Block - Allenite Cam Cleat
Flip Flop Blocks are designed to pivot around a central fixing point, keeping the rope close to the deck, mast or boom while still allowing the block to articulate to the correct lead angle. This helps minimise friction while guiding the rope efficiently.
Relocatable Sheave
Features two mounting positions for the Dynamic Bearing sheave. Simply remove the clevis pin holding the sheave in place and relocate it to either fixing hole in the main body. This provides greater installation flexibility across a wider range of applications.
Dynamic Bearing Sheave
The sheave features Allen's Dynamic Bearing technology, using twin rows of stainless-steel ball bearings running on a stainless-steel rail. This provides superior load-carrying capability and longevity compared to bearing systems that run on plastic rails.
Removable Design
A clevis pin connects the main Flip Flop body to the backing plate and serves as the pivot point. Removing the pin separates the body from the backing plate, allowing easier installation and enabling the body to be fitted either way up.
Allenite Cam Cleat
Fitted with the A.677 small Allenite cam cleat. Allenite is a material developed by Allen to provide low weight and excellent heat dissipation, increasing wear resistance compared to standard acetals. The Allenite cam cleat also offers a significant weight saving over the aluminium version.
Applications
Ideal for lower-load applications such as:
- Halyards
- Pole launchers
- Jib sheets
For higher-load applications, we recommend using the A2133-77.
