Vakaros ATLAS EDGE

After having a few months to train with Vakaros I thought I'd write a follow up. As a training device this thing is unbeatable. You will learn things about your sailing that you did not know. For instance, I was using too much rudder to tack, now I tack with an extra 1/3 of a knot. My heeling angle was just wrong, all small things that add up. The device itself has some issues. The charging is not good. It has locked up on mine and while I can charge it, I have no idea how much charge it has, good news is it goes for 100 hours. Vakaros support is not great
I have reached out, told them what I've done and they continually answer questions with more questions. The device is great, the charging is not great nor is support for a gadget that is not inexpensive. Hopefully they will get it figured out. I'm not the only one who has experienced this issue.

This should be a great training tool when I have to train by myself. Very sensative, you can immediately see changes from over or under trimming. Not Sunfish class legal, or ISCA, I just made a splash rail mount using Nautalytics bracket.
