Optiparts Optimist Mast Sleeve Protector, Grey Racing
The Optiparts Mast Sleeve is fitted around the mast at deck level and is designed for use with the Optiparts Deck Collar (EX12101). It reduces direct contact between the mast and the deck collar, helping to protect both components from wear caused by mast movement.
The sleeve is supplied as standard with Optiparts Blackgold masts and is also available separately as a replacement. Together with the EX12101 deck collar, it forms the most commonly used deck collar combination for the Optimist. Both parts are also available together as the EX1210 set.

Mounting:
The sleeve is intentionally slightly smaller than the mast. Gently warm it with a hairdryer or suitable hot-air tool before sliding it over the mast and positioning it at deck level. Avoid overheating the sleeve or mast.
