Having spare shrouds on board is something all smart sailors do. But having numerous redundant fittings and a large roll of wire is expensive, cumbersome, and can corrode. Underway, the repair can be complex and timeconsuming.
The lightweight, rustproof, reusable Emergency Shroud Kit from Colligo Marine is an easy to use temporary replacement for broken shrouds or stays up to 65 feet long (up to 3/8 inch wire) - at about half the cost.
The kit stores in a small, waterproof bag that can easily be stowed away anywhere on board. Each kit contains one appropriately sized Dynex Dux line with a Line TerminatorÌ´å¬ end fitting spliced into it. One Line terminator for splicing into the line at the desired length. 20 feet of lashing line.
Chafe guard for placing over spreader ends, etc. Water resistant splicing instructions and 2 fids for splicing. Kit comes in a heavy duty sealable zipper bag for stowage.
