The C260 Coastal Furling System is a compact, cost-effective furling solution designed specifically for light sailboats from 5 to 7 meters (16 to 23 feet).
Its integrated self-contained halyard system makes it especially suitable for fractionally rigged boats, where maintaining proper forestay tension can be difficult. By reducing the combined loads created by the sail and halyard, the C260 helps minimize mast compression and forestay sag.
Self-Contained Halyard System
Unlike conventional furling systems, the C260 does not require the use of the boat’s mast halyard. The halyard passes through a sheave box located at the top of the extrusion and returns to a lower sheave and cam cleat.
Once the sail has been hoisted and tensioned, the remaining halyard is used as the furling line, creating a simple and efficient operating system.
Easy Installation
The C260 installs directly over the existing forestay and does not require a specialized attachment at the stemhead. It connects to the lower swage terminal of the forestay using eye plates, hole plates, or the existing turnbuckle arrangement.
For boats transported or stored on a trailer, the furling system can be separated into two sections, helping reduce the risk of damage during transportation and storage.
