Allen Brothers 40mm Dynamic Flip Flop Block with A..76 Cleat
40mm Dynamic Flip Flop Block - Aluminium Cam Cleat
Flip Flop Blocks are designed to pivot around a central fixing point, keeping the rope close to the deck, mast or boom while still allowing the block to articulate to the correct lead angle. This helps minimise friction while guiding the rope efficiently.
Relocatable Sheave
Features two mounting positions for the Dynamic Bearing sheave. Simply remove the retaining bolt and relocate the sheave to either fixing hole in the main body. This provides greater installation flexibility across a wider range of applications.
Dynamic Bearing Sheave
The 40mm sheave features Allen's Dynamic Bearing technology, using twin rows of stainless-steel ball bearings running on a stainless-steel rail. This provides superior load-carrying capability and longevity compared to bearing systems that run on plastic rails.
Removable Design
A clevis pin connects the main Flip Flop body to the backing plate and serves as the pivot point. Removing the pin separates the body from the backing plate, allowing easier installation and enabling the body to be fitted either way up.
Aluminium Cam Cleat
Fitted with the A..76 medium ball bearing cam cleat. The jaw profile is optimised for smooth rope entry and exit, reducing rope wear. Ball bearings and twin coil springs deliver a smooth, consistent cleating action.
Applications
Ideal for a wide range of boats and control systems, including:
- J/70 spinnaker halyard upgrades
- F18 and Nacra 17 spinnaker halyards
- Small keelboat pole launcher systems
- Dinghy and small keelboat spinnaker or jib sheet turning points
- Dinghy jib sheet cleats
- Keelboat outhaul systems
- Keelboat backstay systems
