Beckson Pry-Out Plates are designed to provide access without the use of tools. They incorporate an extra-heavy-duty O-ring to assure a watertight seal. Deck plates are used for storage access, inspection, and clean out for tanks and compartments, or just as a general access for shut-off valves or back- fastenings. The clear center plate version permits observation of controls or gauges and visual inspection without the necessity of removing the plate. NOTE — Pry-Out deck plates should not be used where rising internal pressure from solar warming or oil-canning may occur. Use Screw-Out deck plates in these situations.
