Twin Sheet Lead Blocks feature an extra wide sheave that allows two sheets to be run through the cage at the same time. This is an important feature when you need to change sails, allowing you to avoid sailing without a jib. The new sail can be rigged and hoisted prior to lowering the original jib.
In addition to rigging flexibility, and faster sail changing, another major advantage is the low profile, wide lead angle provided to the winch. Extra wide sheaves plus a 45 º tilt in either direction gives greater leeway in sheeting angles allowing winches to be mounted up to 15 º to either side of the track. The 32-58 features the low friction Nomex™/Teflon™ Bearing to handle friction with ease.
The New 32-82 featuring an aluminum sheave runs on the Nomex™/Teflon™ Bearing as well as Delrin™ Ball Bearings for a very strong and smooth lead. In addition, we have added two S.S. springs keeps the block upright when not in use. Maintenance is easy with the removable sheave and machined flushing holes. Double your sheeting flexibility with Schaefer.
