Requirements for technical offshore gear present a unique opportunity to build an uncompromised range that is durable and protective for long distance sailing but also lightweight and highly breathable for day sailing in very wet conditions. It really is the perfect all-rounder for yacht sailors.
Collaborating with eVent Fabrics we worked hard to maximise waterproofness but most importantly breathability of the fabric so that the ideal balance of both is achieved. Offshore gear must be breathable to ensure sailors remain dry even when moisture is trapped on the inside of the garment. This can be from water entering the garment from the outside or generated by perspiration on the inside. The OFS800 range and its eVent® Direct Diffusion technology is uniquely engineered to overcome both.
The OFS800 Smock is cut for offshore sailing with additional coverage and a relaxed fit for layering. The high cut collar, face shield and hood are all designed to provide excellent protection, adjustability and visibility. Durability has been engineered into the smock with 500D abrasion resistant panelling in the lower back to protect against harsh decks. Additional protection is provided by outer cuff closures and flexible waterproof neoprene inner seals. Photoluminescent (glow-in-the-dark) Reflexite reflectors ensure you can be seen in any light.
